Archos Gamepad: gaming device with Android 4.1

While some Android games are perfectly suited to play on the touch screen of our tablets and smartphones, not all games have good compatibility. The Xperia Play was the first device created especially for playing on Android, but it had some flaws.

Now Archos wants to present an alternative, the Archos Gamepad, which is a 7-inch tablet designed especially for play. The exterior can remind a bit to the new controls for the Nintendo Wii U, with analog pads on both sides of the screen with buttons L and R at the top of the pads.

The fact that Google Play game was not designed to be played on a gamepad Archos is not a major drawback, since Archos has included a tool to associate the touch controls of the game in question than the device.  The truth is that the specifications are not anything special: A dual-core CPU at 1.6GHz, quad-core GPU Mali 400 MP, a 7-inch 1024x600 pixel resolution and 8GB of internal storage with ability to expand up to 64GB via microSD, but certainly good enough to perform with most current games.
